Kanye is putting all of the pieces to his new song on his website so you can download and remix…I still can’t stand the song, but it’s a cool thing for him to do.

cool idea. Jay-z started this back in the day with his Black Album acapella but I’ve never seen anyone give up drum sounds so openly like that. Kanye’s drums have always been so strong and different but I guess he wants to pass something on.
I remember an interview he did with Scratch magazine back in the day about stealing all of Dr. Dre’s drums sounds when he did a beat for Eminem. I always thought that was funny - especially since he later talked about (on the outro to College Dropout) using almost the same drum sounds from “explosive” on the “heart of the city.”
SIDEBAR: I’m a little worried about him rushing out 808’s and Heartbreak. Maybe he feels that strong about it and that he has put in work, but Late Registration took forever for him to finish and he had brought in a team to help him craft it. Now hes dropping lead singles on the Internet and re-recording based on fan feedback. Its a weird thing - but its not going to effect his reign as one of the greats. The fans will buy it, we will all talk about it, and he’ll sell out more stadiums.
